The blur fad is about original YTMND's or random movie quotes being blurred in certain words so the illusion is created that some offensive word is said. It is similar to Jimmy Kimmel Live's Unnecessary Censorship skit.
It started in the comments page that Spotz made which can be found here. ac6517 made the first blur site, and users ac6517, Spotz, and Spacedolphin were guilty of pioneering the entire fad.
