"The Lounge" is a forced fad revolving around a full screen picture of a lounge. Frustrated with much of the front page sites of the time, MasterSitsu simply put up a picture of a lounge as a blank canvas asking people to make some sites for him, with the open reward of 5'd sites for contributions. Some users created sites just for the votes, however many put time and work into them because they simply liked the site. It spawned a less successful but notable knockoff involving a Waiting Room and a PTKFGS version eventually. The forced fad also had its own set of " rules" most noteworthy being the sites should not involve popular fads at any time, and requiring "Lounge Club" members to five each others versions or not to vote at all.
At one point many Lounge sites were highly rated, however the point and appeal on the fad seems to have been lost on newer users, and the scores of all have dropped in recent months.
The music for the sites, "Deja Vu", an unused song composed by Edd Kalehoff for "The Price is Right" is the music associated with the fad. It appears on YTMND the Soundtrack volume 9
