Interestingly, the site {{y|sonicspoiler|SPOILERS FOR SONIC'S ADVICE}}, created almost two years earlier, also used a different version of Tarzan Boy (Gay Fuel) as the background sound, suggesting the connection between the sound and the spoiler fad goes farther back.

On July 17, 2007, in anticipation of the final Harry Potter book, and as a possible continuation of the Titlebar Night of the Unicorns, Max created a header on the main page (even in custom pages) with a new category: Harry Potter Spoilers. In it, under different titles, was the same site: DOBBY HEDWIG FRED AND SNAPE DIE! HARRY MARRIES GINNY; NEVILLE BECOMES A TEACHER by Xizer, with the Gay Fuel Disco Remix as the background sound.

The YTMND community promptly responded by inventing a new "Sub-fad" of Snape Kills Dumbledore... Spoilers. Each site usually has the same song, and often points out very obvious spoilers.

On July 19, 2007, max posted news about a legal threat received from Scholastic. [1] Also on that day, max posted a subliminal message that flashes on the front page that shows the same spoilers.

This is what the flashing message looked like on the front page.

Interestingly, the site SPOILERS FOR SONIC'S ADVICE, created almost two years earlier, also used a different version of Tarzan Boy (Gay Fuel) as the background sound, suggesting the connection between the sound and the spoiler fad goes farther back.
