*They parodize the exact scene of Vegeta breaking the scanner while uttering the famed words (example: {{y|vegetawantsps3|Vegeta wants to buy a PS3, but guess what?}})

This quote has formed the basis of a fad in which Vegeta (or a subpar impersonator) yells about various things, such as his telephone bill, the national debt, or the price of a [[PS3]], being "over 9000".

Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power level?

Worthy Spinoffs:

Vegeta or Prince Vegeta is a fictional character, villain, anti-hero and later hero in the manga and anime Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. He is the prince of the fallen Saiyan race, archrival to Son Goku and a powerful warrior.

His name can be considered a pun on either vegetable or the condiment vegeta.

Vegeta is known as much for his arrogance as for his fighting skill. He uses a device called a scouter to measure the power level of opponents in advance of a fight. In one episode, he angrily and excitedly yells out that that an opponent's power level is "OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAND!!", crushing the scouter in his hand as he does so.
