The Razor Gator fad began when the site was originally made on September 19th, 2005, by user razorgator. It consisted of a picture of a Razor Gator blister pack, "www.razor-gator.com!!!" 3d text, and the now-infamous "Razor Gator Song." The site had only a couple hundred views until three months later, when its constant sponsorship had brought it up to over 200,000 views as of July, 2006. The site still averages about 700 hits a day.[1]
What is Razor Gator?
Razor Gator ®, became the world's first disposable razor cleaning tool in Q4 2004. The product has 3 distinct operations, with instructions from the website as follows:
1. Before you shave, scan your blade edge for remnants of fossilized razor gunk. Use Razor Gator's teeth to gator off crusty dried gunk on your blade.
2. Begin your shave. Use Razor Gator's brush to sweep away fresh gunk as it accumulates.
3. When you're finished shaving, use brush to reclean the razor blade head.
4. Use Razor Gator tail to dry blade, which will lessen corrosion.[2]
