I have absolutely no idea what the first Hassan site was. The earliest one I can find is this one, and in its comments people are already talking about it like a well-established fad. I suspect earlier Hassan sites exist that don't explicity say "Hassan" in the title, so they'd be tough to find using YTMND's search engine. Any help would be appreciated. --Jim Smith 19:50, July 22, 2006 (CDT)

Use {{Fad Infobox 2}} duh --It's Smiddle, LOL | What is Talk Page? 04:28, July 23, 2006 (CDT)
That template is for fads that don't have a definitive origin. The Hassan fad probably has one, it's just a matter of finding out what it is. --Jim Smith 13:45, July 23, 2006 (CDT)
You can use it until someone finds out. //It's Smiddle, LOL | What is Talk Page? 14:02, July 27, 2006 (CDT)
The first site to have Hassan's music is unfortunately no longer on YTMND (either that, or the title has been changed to remove the words "muhammad hassan"). The earliest site to my recollection that featured Hassan's music was called "Hassan Has Finally Gone Too Far" and depicted a church billboard edited from the original image to say "ALAYLAYEELAYEE." There were a few sites that were spawned off that (which I can't seem to find either) which used the Hassan music, but the main concept of Hassan interrupting wasn't established yet. Sometime in mid-April is when the interruption concept took off. "OJ gets Hassan'd" was sort of the catalyst for it catching on. The user captaincharisma has laid claim to inventing the term "hassan'd" which I believe is true but I can't say for sure. captiancharisma created a site one day prior to "OJ Gets Hassan'd" ("One Giant Leap For Hassan"), but it did not feature the "ALAYLAYEELAYEE" that the fad is most notably identified with. In the comments section of "One Giant Leap For Hassan" I suggested that he change it so the "ALAYLAYEELAYEE" was added to the beginning ("OJ Gets Hassand" was posted this same day), and the next day captaincharisma did edit his site to feature that. I also believe there were alternate spellings of it being used ("Hassan-d," "Hassaned") around the time it started to pick up steam as well. //KaneRobot | What is Talk Page?
